Materials Engineer

Since its founding in 2015, 1X has been at the forefront of developing advanced humanoid robots designed for household use. Our mission is to create an abundant supply of labor via safe, intelligent humanoids.

As we scale from research and development to full-scale manufacturing, we are looking for a Materials Engineer.

Within one month, you will…
Get up to speed with the design of our humanoid robot NEO
Familiarize yourself with internal processes and development methodologies
Within three months, you will…
Establish methodologies for selecting the right material for each application
Involve yourself, together with our Supply Chain team, with suppliers to source parts that meet the material specifications set by the R&D Engineering team and you
Work with the testing team to build a material dataset for the materials with which NEO is built
Within one year, you will…
Lead the research of high-end materials to enable meeeting the lightweight, reliability and cost requirements of the product
Own Design for Manufacturing activities across the company
