Android Operator (Moss, Norway)
Targeted start date: Immediately. This job is based on-site at Solgård Skog 139, Moss, Viken 1599, Norway.
1X designs androids built to benefit society. Since 2014, we’ve been building androids with the product design mindset of safety first, balanced performance, and smart behavior. Our mission is to build androids that work alongside people to meet the world’s labor demand and build an abundant society. Our wheeled model, EVE, is engineered to work with you, from guarding to logistics, and our bipedal model, NEO, is designed to become a general-purpose android, with a broad deployment in various applications, and, eventually, assisted living.
Founded in Moss, Norway, 1X has grown into an international team with offices around the globe. 1X envisions a bright new future: humans and androids, working and learning, Side by Side.
Responsibilities:
- Play a critical role as a Robot Operator and be a part of 1X as we grow fast
- Set up and change equipment
- Maintain a work area for operation and cleanliness
- Comply with all safety rules
- Record and report data
- Participate in continuous improvement activities
Must-Haves:
- Ability to collaborate with others and work independently
- Ability to troubleshoot
- Good coordination, motor skills, and dexterity
- Ability to communicate information clearly
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time if need be
- Good communication style and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work successfully in a team
- Excellent English language skills
Nice-To-Haves:
- Experience with Virtual Reality (VR)
- Ability to come up with solutions independently and creatively
- Bias for action, strong work ethic, and desire to achieve excellence
- Ability to be comfortable with high workload and not be afraid to "roll up your sleeves"
- Experience within technical vehicles (e.g. robots, androids, drones)

Location
1X Operations Center is located at Solgaard Skog, just outside Moss city center. It's the home to our production, warehouse, and Test Studio. This office has 3D printers and a workshop for machining and milling. 1X offers free parking and EV charging. When it's time for lunch, head to the cantina with indoor and outdoor seating options.
