Role Overview
The Senior Network Security Engineer will be responsible for architecting, implementing, securing, optimizing, and maintaining all of 1X’s network infrastructure. This includes corporate offices, data centers, cloud environments, co‑located facilities, wired/wireless networks, and service provider interconnections. You will ensure high performance, scalability, reliability, and security across all networks, and work closely with cross‑functional teams to define network requirements, execute site builds, and apply best practices.
Responsibilities
Architect, design, and implement secure and optimized network solutions for corporate offices, cloud infrastructure, data centers, and other 1X‑operated sites.
Manage and execute site builds, including secure office network deployments.
Secure, configure, implement, and manage wireless network environments, ensuring adherence to wireless network security best practices.
Troubleshoot wired, wireless, and service provider connectivity issues to ensure maximum availability and performance.
Continuously optimize network performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
Collaborate with IT, business, and operations teams to define requirements and deliver robust networking solutions.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation including network diagrams, configurations, procedures, and policies.
Travel occasionally, both locally and domestically, to support site deployments or audits as needed.
