Role Overview
As an Embedded Firmware Developer for Battery Charger systems, you will be responsible for architecting, developing, and optimizing firmware that controls charging, power regulation, safety, and user‑facing performance. You will collaborate closely with electrical and software teams to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient charging and battery management in both prototype and production systems. Your work will have direct impact on safety, performance, and user experience across product lines.
Responsibilities
Architect firmware for the charger and digital power distribution controller
Design and implement real‑time control algorithms for charging, power regulation, and safety protection
Develop firmware features including state of charge estimation, thermal regulation, and fault diagnostics
Implement communication protocols (e.g. CAN, LIN, SPI, I2C) for battery monitoring and control
Collaborate with electrical engineers and Battery Management System (BMS) developers for hardware‑software integration
Support firmware testing, validation, and debugging on prototype and production hardware
Contribute to higher‑level robot software safety features
