Head of Supply Chain

1X Technologies is in search of an accomplished Head of Supply Chain to assume a pivotal role in our organization. This position carries the primary responsibility of strategically procuring all requisite components and equipment integral to the development of our humanoid robot platforms (EVE and NEO). The right person will be the key professional interface between our internal stakeholders (e.g. R&D team) and all of our external suppliers. Besides, you will have the opportunity to shape and expand the capabilities of our ERP system and implement processes ensuring quality and optimizing inventory.

Get familiar with our people, products and platforms to understand the various supply chain requirements across the different teams and how we operate
Establish connections with our existing suppliers and become familiar with the history of relationships
Gain a good understanding of our ERP system and roadmap
Within three months, you will…
Take over responsibility for all tasks related to current supply chain operations
Crafted a framework and processes for supplier quality assurance
Have developed a strategy to optimize supply chain
Within one year, you will…
Be the single point of contact for any part or equipment purchase request
Drive serial production supply planning for our bipedal NEO platform
Have implemented all developed measures to ensure quality production at supplier and on quality on incoming parts
Responsibilities
- Identify and establish relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and source parts and equipment needed for prototype build and production while ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality standards are met.
- Continuously evaluate supplier performance and manage supplier relationships to drive improvements in quality, delivery times, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Production Operations, and R&D, to forecast demand accurately and ensure the supply chain is aligned with production requirements.
- Develop and implement inventory strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize carrying costs, and maintain sufficient supply to support production schedules.
- Oversee the company's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, ensuring it is up-to-date and effectively utilized to manage procurement, inventory, and other supply chain processes.
- Build and lead a high-performing supply chain team, providing coaching, mentorship, and development opportunities to team members.
Must-Haves
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Proven experience in supply chain management / procurement, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Strong understanding of procurement, inventory management, and logistics principles.
Proficiency in using ERP systems and work with supply chain software at suppliers.
Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques to extract insights from supply chain data, enabling better decision-making and predictive analysis.
Nice-To-Haves
- Experience in managing global supply chains, including knowledge of international regulations, customs procedures, and cultural considerations.
- Expertise in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks within the supply chain, including contingency planning for unexpected disruptions.
- A strong understanding of sustainable supply chain practices and the ability to implement eco-friendly initiatives in procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement, enhancing efficiency, and reducing waste in supply chain operations.
